Part one of the project was to select an object and extract rules about its design, form, and/or construction. The two objects chosen were the Pinto Side Table by Miniforms and the Lily Cocktail Table by Tom Faulkner. With the three rules: curved forms, subtraction, and tiering/layering, the next task was to make a community arts center in Newark, New Jersey. The chosen art form for Vela Mora Community Arts Center is glassmaking.
